Gobble Gobble

The Burks family braved the cold November morning this Thanksgiving to participate in The Turkey Trot. Shea was very excited about being all bundled up with his dragon hat and puppy mittens to go "big runnin." He did better than all of us and actually ran about 3/4 of a mile all by himself. Mommy did a pretty good job of jogging along side until she realized she could walk just as fast!

After our momumental 3 mile we joined Uncle Brendan, Aunt Diddy, and Cousin Kaci for our after-trot tradition of snacks and mimosas (just o.j. for the babies!)

Trick or Treat

We are excited to announce that Shea has learned a sure-fire, never-fail method of getting candy! You knock on a door, look cute, and say "trick or treat" in your little baby voice. Voila! Tons of candy! Grandmas are apparently suckers for this.

This was our first year to actually go "trick or treating" and, well, he took to it like a pro. It was my job to carry Shea and the bucket of candy to each house. He would then do his magic, say
thank you, and then return to his chauffeur and say, "More candy Mommy!"
